Assembly members in the Krachi East District in the Volta Region have rejected Mr. Raphael K. Ogyemoko, the President’s nominee for district chief executive for the assembly. 

Mr. Ogyemoko who was one of the few to have been re-nominated by the president in the region received outright rejection from the assembly members.

He polled 11 votes out of 30 valid votes with 19 against. Because of the outright rejection, he would not have the opportunity of a second round.

Some staff at the assembly expressed surprised at the turn of event considering the good working relation they have with the DCE and how well he related with everybody including the assembly members.
