The Krachi East District Assembly with support from the Ministry of Education has so far distributed about one thousand dual desks to basic schools in the district this year.

The desks are meant to augment existing ones in the school as most of the schools complain of inadequate furniture while newly constructed school have also benefited.

Schools in Dambai received 245 desks, Kparekpare received 170, Tokuroano received 115, Kataniga 170, Adumadum 60.

Some of the beneficiary schools are Banka, Dambai Primary B, Dambai Lakeside Primary A, B, Kpalema Primary, Kparekpare Primary, AfadakopeKatanga R/C A, B, Kunda, Akokrowaamong others.

Junior high schools were also not left out as schools about 7 of them received desks. They include Dambai D/A, Dambai Lakeside, Ayiraffie-Battor, Dormabin D/A, Adonkwanta, Zikpo No2, Wankayaw D/A junior high schools.
