Krachi East District Assembly has commenced construction of two number 3-unit classroom blocks with office and store for two senior high schools in the district.

Beneficiary schools include Asukawkaw Senior High School and Oti Senior High Technical School. The move is in line with efforts to improve infrastructure in the two schools.

Authorities at the assembly noted that though government is mang frantic efforts to ensure adequate infrastructure for   all schools in the country, there is a need for intervention from other stakeholders in the education sector of which the district assembly is a major one to accelerate the pace of development.

When completed, the two structures will help to decongest classrooms to provide convenient teahing and learning environment for the students and teachers. It is also aimed at ensuring proper protection of the students who sometimes have to study under shades.
