The Krachi East District Assembly is making inroads in efforts to improve road infrastructure in the district.

The assembly has started spot improvement of Bank Junction to Yam Market road which about 6 kilometers. Work will also include construction of gutters and culvert to allow smooth flow of water to prevent early destruction of the road.

The yam market road is an important economic road in the district and the assembly deems it very important to improve it to ensure its citizens are not deprived of their livelihoods.

Poor road infrastructure has been a major challenge in most communities and when one considers the amount of money required to construct roads or rehabilitate roads the assemblies do not have such financial strength hence are unable to quickly rehabilitate them.
