Nayiri Naabohagu Mahami Abdulai Sheriga, Overlord of the Mamprugu Traditional Area, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for re-nominating Mr Adam Imoro as East Mamprusi District Chief Executive (DCE).

He said the re-nomination of the DCE would enhance the socio-economic development of the area and promote peace, unity and social harmony.

The Nayiri made the remarks when assembly members, constitutional executives of National Democratic Congress and youth groups accompanied by the nominee paid a courtesy call on the Nayiri at Nalerigu in the Northern Region.

The Nayiri called on all to rally behind the nominee since he is diligent, a peacemaker, hardworking and dedicated to bringing development to the people.

He said peace and unity in the area is crucial.

Mr Imoro thanked the President for the confidence repose in him and assured the people that he would work to facilitate the Better Ghana Agenda.
