Mr Adam Imoro, DCE for East Mamprusi District Assembly,  has welcomed  move by the assembly and Ghana Health Service(GHS) to initiate plans of establishing a district hospital in  the area.

He said the facility when completed would largely remain a reliable centre to offer health delivery to residents of the district and neighbouring districts like Bunkpurugu Yunyoo as well as foreigners from the borders of burkina Faso and Togo.

In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com,the DCE indicated that the assembly has yearned to acquire a land which will aid the implementation of this august project on-board in the area.

This move is expected to give respite to officials at the Baptist Medical Centre(BMC) at Nalerigu, and also ease the pressure at the facility which most residents of the area depend on to get help for their health issues.
 
Also when it is finally realised in the area, it would serve as a model facility for students of the Health Assistant Training School at the district to improve their lessons and equip them in their studies.
