E. MAMPRUSI:More classrooms to eliminate schools under trees

Government’s commitment to end the schools under trees system is on course with the construction of thirteen (13) separate six -unit classroom blocks in various schools in the East Mamprusi District to ensure conducive environment for teaching and learning.

Government’s commitment to end the schools under trees system is on course with the construction of thirteen (13) separate six -unit classroom blocks in various schools in the East Mamprusi District to ensure conducive environment for teaching and learning.

The project which is nearly completed would relieve pupils of the harsh weather conditions which distract their attention during learning sessions.

In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the East Mamprusi District Chief Executive, Adam Imoro stated that the development was also aimed at reducing decongested classrooms noting that Sakoge, Nalerigu, Samimi, Gawali, Lagdamfi amongst others benefited from this project.

 He added that the challenge of teacher’s accommodation is being solved as five bungalows are being constructed in the District to ease accommodation problems for teachers and also to motivate them to educate students in the District.

Adam Imoro disclosed that the health sector is also being supported in the district as a clinic, a maternity ward and nurses quarters are being constructed at Gbinkri to facilitate health delivery services in the District.
