Mr Samuel A. Jinapor urged all to make the community mining a tool for national development and not an inhibiting factor to the nation's progress and stressed that, there is no space for illegal mining.

He therefore encouraged miners to obtain license before operating in the communities.

He commended the Typhoon Greenfield's Development Limited for adhering to the local policy of the mining sector in its operations and protecting the land on which they operate.

Mr. Kweku Nsiah Asare, the Chief Executive officer of Typhoon Greenfield Development Limited revealed that, the company invested in the community mining project in order to create opportunities for individuals and also protect the environment.

He added that, the company has planted palm and coconut plants to reclaim the land after working on their first concession.
