We are achieving solidarity and unity through sports - Adansi North DCE proclaims

The Adansi North District Chief Executive, Kusi Kwaku Eric, has presented a trophy to the Fomena District Police Service Command Men Football Team which emerged winner in a Soccer tournament organized by the Management of the Adansi North District Assembly, to commemorate the 2023 Founders Day celebration in the District on Friday, 4th August, 2023 at Fomena.

The Fomena District Police Command Team beat Adansi Asokwa District Assembly Team by a 3-2 score line on penalties at the Stage of the Completion.

Hon. Kusi, Kwaku Eric in his presentation, was thankful to the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Okrah Thomas Kwame, for organizing the maiden event which was highly successful and very well organized admitting that it was the first of its kind the District has witnessed.

The Hon. DCE emphasized that solidarity and unity amongst institutions in the District could be achieved through games such the one organized on the 2023 Founders Day Edition and declared his readiness to support management of the Assembly to organize a much bigger event which can involve more of the institutions in the District if not all.

The Hon. DCE expressed his excitement about the turn out from the various institutions and was sure there is an opportunity to building a stronger working relationship with the Institutions to foster partnership in achieving the Vision and Mission of the District Assembly through regular organization of such fun games.

The Participating Institutions in the 2023 Founders Day Fun Games held on Friday, 4th August, 2023, at Fomena District Park were Adansi North District Assembly, Adansi Asokwa District Assembly, Fomena Ghana National Fire Service, Fomena District Police Command, and Tutors of Fomena Nursing and Midwifery Training College.

Although, Adansi North District Assembly Men and Female teams were knocked out by Technical defect in the competition, the Organizers and management of the Assembly were happy to have hosted the event and are hopeful for a win the next time such Competition is organized.
