Adansi North DCE slashes business operating permit fee by 60%

Small and Medium Scale Enterprise (SME) Operators in the Adansi North District effective 17th July, 2023 are to enjoy a 60% off the District Assembly business operating fee to allow for more SME registration.

The District Chief Executive (DCE), Kusi Kwaku Eric made the announcement at a business forum he chaired for (SMEs) at the District Assembly. He charged SMEs with the responsibility of registering their businesses and following due processes of operations to enable them acquire genuine documents to aid them access International opportunities.

According to the DCE, he has met with international investors who have expressed interest in having business exchange programmes with business operators in the District and it is in the right direction that he shares some basic tips to help SMEs explore and gain more opportunities in their line of work.

He encouraged SMEs to register their businesses with the Adansi North District Assembly for operating permit after registering with the Registrar Generals Department and also operate an active account in the name of the business including paying appropriate taxes and urged all and sundry to visit the District Assembly for any enquiries and information they might need.

The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Thomas Kwame Okrah added that, SMEs should keep proper documentation of their business operations and follow accepted rules in operating businesses to enable them qualify for District Assembly Contract to improve local economic development which will in turn support local businesses.

Some participants at the forum thanked the DCE for the information and pleaded with the Management of the Assembly to consider their application for contracts when they apply.
