Assembly organises “Keep Ejisu Clean and Safe” cleanup exercise

The fifth edition of “Keep Ejisu Clean and Safe”, a monthly clean-up exercise by the Ejisu Municipal Assembly has been organized to clean the Ejisu Municipality.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area, Mr. Samuel Oduro Frimpong was joined by Assembly members, staff of the Assembly, the Divisional Police Command led by the Divisional Commander, Ghana National Fire Service, Zoomlion Ghana Ltd, Earth Care Ghana, Joyfest 2022, Mens Club-Onwe, Unit Committee members and others to undertake a massive clean-up exercise.

The team cleared choked gutters and garbage along the main Accra road, Ejisu Market, the frontals of ADB Bank, GCB Bank, Best Point Savings and Loans, Ghana Health Service Directorate, ECG-Ejisu Business Center and other vantage areas within the Municipality.


The MCE indicated that the sixth edition will be organized concurrently in all the 28 Electoral Areas within the municipality led by the Chief and elders, the assembly members and their unit committees and appealed to businesses and offices to clean their frontages and maintain a clean environment at all times.


He also made available dustbins to be placed at all vantage areas within the municipality to prevent people from throwing plastics and other garbages indiscriminately on the street and into the gutters and recounting the pivotal role played by the Compactor track donated to the assembly by the government to ensure that all garbages are collected and disposed properly and also thanked the President and the Regional Minister for the supply of same to the assemblies to sustain greening, cleaning and beautification across the Ashanti region.


Mr. Oduro Frimpong rendered a special appreciation to Earth Care Ghana, Joyfest 2022 and Mens Club for their tremendous collaboration and participation in ensuring that the exercise was successful and thanked all participants especially traders and shopkeepers for closing their shops and partaking in the exercise.
