Assembly evacuates refuse dump at Bonwire

The Ejisu Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Samuel Oduro Frimpong, has evacuated a refuse dump close to the newly built court at Bonwire to help improve sanitation in the area.

The dumping site, together with an old abandoned toilet facility had raised health concerns in the community, especially in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and other communicable diseases in the area.

The MCE, who was speaking to the media said, he was optimistic that the exercise will address the health and sanitation needs of the people in the municipality and provide a conducive environment for the newly constructed court.

He therefore admonished the community to make use of various containers provided for them at the new refuse dump site and pay tokens to the caretaker in order to enable the unit committee to keep the site clean.

The Assembly Member for the area, Mr. Emmanuel Asamoah Baidoo, thanked the MCE for his intervention and assured him of his continued support for the assembly and government in aspect of revenue mobilization.
