The chairperson, Ampabamehene, Nana Kofi Adjei II, who stood in for the Ejisumanhene, graced the occasion. Nana Kofi Adjei II advised the assembly members not to be power-drunk but rather humble themselves because leadership is to serve and as such they have been called to serve, adding that as elected by the public, hence they have to work in the interest of the people and not their own.

Later, the position of the presiding member was contested for by six of the assembly members. However, none of the six got the two-thirds requirement. So the top two candidates, Hon Kofi Ampofo Adjei and Hon. Kwaku Ntim Twumasi went for the second round.

Again none of them got two-thirds of the votes and so the election of the presiding member was postponed; and will be held in 10days.
