Speaking at the gathering of girls at the ceremony, the Bono Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Women's Organiser, Madam Doris Asoma charged the young girls in the District to take their education very seriously since it is the bedrock for national development.

She said educating the girl child is very necessary especially when the adequate resources are provided to them for their education.

She added that, when girls are educated, they therefore have the potential to contribute directly to the socio-economic development of the country.

According to the Bono Regional NPP Women's Organiser, education is the only tool that will quicken women empowerment in the country that is to ensure that all girls will have equal access to education and be sent to school.

Madam Doris Asoma therefore called on the traditional authorities especially chiefs and queens mothers to get involved in the campaign to enforce more girls to be in school than to stay at home.

She added that government is making all efforts to provide the needed logistics and infrastructure for education and urged the girls to take advantage of free Senior High School Education.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Berekum West, Dominic Oppong, also emphasized that the government is doing all that it can to make education affordable to all parents and no girl child will be denied education in the country.

He said, free education is now available hence the girls should go all out to study hard to accomplish their dreams in life rather than neglecting education.

The DCE said, the Assembly will partner with other institutions including radio stations to propagate the campaign of alerting parents to send their girl child to school, an opportunity the girls cannot afford as youth.

The District Director of Education Mr. David Owusu Ansh also encouraged the girls to embrace education which is the only sure way to secure their future.

He also advised parents to encourage their girls to be in schools and also provide the necessary essentials the girls will need in their schooling.

Some of the dignitaries that were in attendance are the Berekum West District Chief Executive, Dominic Oppong, Bono Regional New Patriotic Party NPP Women's Organiser, Madam Doris Asoma, Berekum West Constituency New Patriotic Party Chairman, Honourable Peter Asoma Baompong, Berekum West District Education Director, Mr. David Owusu Ansah, the Assembly staff, headmaster, headmistress teachers and among others.
