DCE donates to the Muslims in the Berekum West

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Berekum West, Dominic Oppong on behalf of the Assembly and the Member of Parliament, Kwaku Agyenim Boateng has presented a quantity of food items to the Muslim communities in the district at the Jinijini Mosque.

These items which consisted of about 20 bags of rice and sugar were donated to the Muslims to support the ongoing Ramadan.

In presenting the items on the 6th of April, 2023, the DCE used the opportunity and lauded the Muslim leadership in the District for their peaceful coexistence with their Christian brothers and sisters.

Mr Dominic Oppong continued his speech by admonishing the teeming youths in the various Muslim communities to be guided by the peace in all their endeavours, during and after the fasting period, while calling on them to do away with situations that could result to violence. He also appealed to them to pray unceasingly for the assembly, the government and the people of Ghana.

The District Chief Executive was accompanied by the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Charles Asamoah, the District Finance Officer, Mr.Agyenim Boateng, the Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Boampong and some party faithful.

The Chief Imam, Ibrahim Seidu, who received the donations on behalf of the people, expressed appreciation to the DCE. He also assured that his leadership will ensure that all Muslims within the District would get their fair share of the items.
