Berekum West DCE Nominee confirmed

The Berekum West District Assembly has overwhelmingly confirmed the President’s nominee, Dominic Oppong as new District Chief Executive of the area.

He was given a 100% endorsement by Assembly members of the area.

Prior to the confirmation, the Bono Regional Minister, Justina Owusu-Banahene seized the opportunity to urge the Assembly members to work together to uphold the unity of the assembly.

She emphasized the importance of the votes of the assembly members stating that 'their votes will help address the developmental challenges of the district.

Mr Dominic Oppong, in his acceptance speech, reiterated his commitment to creating jobs for the teaming unemployed youth in the district through agriculture.

He also stated that he was determined to work to reduce the poverty levels of the masses.
