The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Akwannuasa Gyimah addressing the media said, traders who were captured in the list of the Urban Roads will receive their compensation before work commences.
“The names have been compiled and collated as far back as August 2017 and everyone who is on it will receive what he or she is due to have”, he said.
According to Mr. Elliot Ofosu Barnor, Presiding Member (PM) of the Assembly, traders whose data are on the list of the Urban Roads are being catered for before any other person adding that the move will make things easier for the disbursement process to be hastened so as to allow work to begin on the Asokwa roads.
Meanwhile, some traders who went to the Assembly to seek for clarification expressed delight at the response given to them by the coordinating director, Mr. Charles Oteng and also thank him for granting them audience since they had been receiving conflicting reports about their due compensation.
