The disbursement will support PWDs in income generation activities, educational, medical and organizational support.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Akwanuasah Gyimah (M.C.E) was very impressed with the work of the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development. He was pleased the PWDs present did not take to the street to beg but decided to make their lives meaningful and assured them government continuous support to them.

The Presiding Member of the Assembly Mr. Elliott Bannor admonished the PWDs to be part of the various associations for the disabled and encouraged them to work diligently with the items.

Head of Department of Social Welfare and Community Development Mr. Dickson Frimpong prayed to the PWDs to make good use of their items. He noted that the department will do monitoring to see the effective and efficient usage of the items.
