The exercise is aimed at mitigating the occurrence of perennial flooding and its associated hazards in the Municipality to help save lives and properties.

Officials of NADMO educated and sensitized members of the various Churches on basic prevention and mitigation measures and hope that the congregants will carry the messages to their households to make the Municipality disaster free, especially disasters that are normally caused by human activities.

They advised the people to learn good sanitation practices such as disposal of rubbish only at places approved by the Assemblies to prevent future devastations, as well as ensure that they practice proper personal hygiene.

The NADMO personnel also added that environmental cleanliness is a major pillar hence the directive by the President to all MMDAs to institute regular clean-up campaigns, to reawaken the people of their responsibility in seeking a clean and healthy environment and prevent all man-made disasters in the Asokwa Municipality.
