Asante Kennedy elect as Presiding Member

The Denkyembour District Assembly has elected Mr Asante Kennedy as its Presiding Member (PM) to help steer affairs of the Assembly for the next two years.

In an election which was supervised by the Electoral Commission, all 31 members voted ‘Yes’, representing 100% endorsement for the nominee.

The magistrate for Kade District Court, His Lordship Emmanuel Boadu, took the Presiding Member-elect through the oath of secrecy, oath of office and duly sworn him into office as the substantive Presiding Member for Denkyembour District Assembly.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Asante expressed his utmost gratitude to the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Mr. Seth Ofosu Birikorang, Nananom, Heads of Departments and Assembly Members for endorsing his candidature as Presiding Member.

He mentioned that the support he received from members of the assembly and various stakeholders will go a long way to help him achieve success in new his new office.

He solicited for more support in order to move the district forward.
