Jaman North DCE introduces deputy Regional Minister to Nananom
The District Chief Executive for Jaman North, Adane Ankomah and some NPP constituency executives toured all three Traditional Stool Lands namely; Kwatwoma (Seketia), Suma and Sampa to officially introduce to them the Deputy Bono Minister (MP), Mr. Siaka Stevens.

Mr. Siaka Stevens started his political career as an Assemblyman and became a Presiding in 2000's. He won the parliamentary seat for the NPP in the 2012 general election and maintained it in 2016 and still holds the seat. He was therefore appointed as the Chairman for the parliamentary select committee on Education in 2017 by the President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo.
His appointment as the Deputy Bono Minister was of no surprise to the people in his constituency by H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo on 18th February, 2019 was fully confirmed on 27th, March, 2019.
Among the people that joined the DCE during the tour were, Mr. Godwin Dzansi (DCD), Supretendant Virtus Napen (District police commander), Alhaji Barrus (NPP 1st Vice Chairman), Anane Ebenezer (NPP constituency Secretary) as well as John Kummor Naama (NPP constituency Organizer) and Madam Grace Takyiwaa (NPP constituency women organiser).
The Minister, Siaka Stevens used the opportunity to thank Nananom and the people for their tremendous support and promised to collaborate and work with them. He also used same platform to advise the people to clearly stop politicizing the price of the cashew nut which has drastically dropped to GHs2.50 per killo of which according to him, is a worrying issue for himself and the DCE, Adane Ankomah and the NPP government as a whole.
He said, the NPP government is committed in seeing the good status of cashew farmers especially in his region so people should therefore stop the propaganda that the NPP government has hand in the fall of the price.
Talking about the development of the district, the Minister said, the construction of Drobo-Sampa road which is currently on a tender board will soon begin. Again, he told Nananom that, construction of modern girls’ and boys’ hostel for the Sampa Nurses Training School will also kick off in 2 months’ time.
He therefore urged them to fully pray and support the NPP government since it has better plans for the district.
