Jaman North Assembly supports people with disability

The Jaman North District Assembly today 27th July 2020 distributed some items to People With Disability in the district to support them better their lives and also move them from begging in the streets.

This yearly program by the assembly is 3% of the Assembly's Common Fund of targeted to support any member of the association.

The Assembly targeted not to give physical cash to any of the beneficiaries but rather provide them with any item which can enable establish them with a lucrative business.

Among the items distributed to the 49 beneficiaries were 26 brand-new Deep Freezers, 9 trading items made up 3 (50kg) bags of rice, 50 litres of oil, a box of key soap, a box of tin tomatoes and some trading materials.

One beneficiary also received a brand-new shoe making machine while one person also had a brand-new fufu pounding machine.
Another person also received a brand-new printer with one other person receiving the electric welding machine.

Again, 7 people received 2 and a half containers, and one person also received 40 bags of charcoal with another person also receiving 10 bags of maize.



The Hon. DCE, Adane Ankomah in his welcome speech said, all the beneficiaries should us any item supplied to its purpose and anyone caught in an attempt of selling any will the law. He, therefore, congratulated them and appeal to them to support the NPP Government in prayers and also Nana Addo and Hon. Siaka Stevens come December general elections.

In attendance were the Deputy Bono Regional Minister (MP) Siaka Stevens, the District Coordinating Director- Mr. Ferkah Charles, and some members of NPP in the district.
