Jaman North District supports people with disability
The Jaman North District assembly has supported people with disability (PWD's) with some items to enable them to better their lives and also to get their 2% share of the common fund as well as to eliminate streetism among them.

Four (4) people benefited from paying school fees, 2 people from the school of deaf at Bechem.
Madam Esther Adjeiwaa Ampabeng, the Chairperson for the organization of the district presenting their problems to the DCE, Solomon Owusu, appealed to the DCE to help increase the PWD's share of the common fund of 2% to at least 5% or 10% to enable the executives embark on community visits in order to fish out or to locate the various communities of such people (PWD's).
Another point raised by the Chairperson was the DCE to help speed up the PWD's guidelines in order to help the executives to run day to day affairs of the association .She also asked the DCE to help establish a by-law to ban streetism in the Jaman North District since that has been their concern.
She said, some PWD's do come from different districts to beg or operate in the District of which they are being counted or seen as residents and it is a big worry to them.
Next was the establishment of the Organizational Development fund by DCE Solomon Owusu to help them to visit all PWD's who have registered under the association and also to monitor the activities of beneficiaries as to how items presented to them are being used. Lastly, the Chairperson appealed to the DCE to help them establish a permanent office in order to help them to start with ICT tutoring.
The DCE Solomon Owusu in his address thanked all by advising the beneficiaries to make good use of their benefits and also to praise the NPP government for supporting them by providing to them their needs to help them better their lives.
He said, the executives of the association should monitor the activities of the beneficiaries. He however said, the Jaman North District assembly under his leadership will continue the good works of his predecessor, Mr. Adane Ankomah of providing to the needy (PWD's) when the need arise
