JAMAN N: Stakeholders meet with Nsonsomea Community on Recovinised Gold Survey
The Jaman North District Assembly held a successful stakeholder meeting with the Nsonsomea community geared towards a Recovinised Survey on the discovery of Gold in the community.

Present were Dr. Boateng Chairman of SSSIL Mr. Grisler Ankrah- Exploration Manager SSSIL Accra. Mr. Frimpong Benjamin-Geologist SSSIL Accra.
Others were: Sup. Virtus Napen-Jaman North Police Commander. Mr. Adom Dapaah Isaac- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)- Sunyani. Mr. Patrick Osarfo-JNDA Engineer. Hon. Adane Ankomah DCE-JND, Mr. Charles Ferkah-DCD-JNDA, Mr. Boahen Yaw Michael-DIO-Sampa as well as Asante Appian Enoch-ISD Sampa.
Among Nananom were also Nana Koosono Ampem- Kontihene of Nsonsomea, Mr. Gyamfi Isaiah - Secutary to the Chief, Aduana Abusuapanin Nana Anthony Assah, and some other elders of the palace as well as the general population of the Nsonsomea community.
The meeting started around 11:20 am and came to a close around 1:50 pm and during open remarks by the DCE, Adane Ankomah stated the purpose by saying, it is an official engagement of the people and Nananom on how best to help EPA to officially begin their survey on the mining site in community and also seek the support of the community in the Exercise.
After His delivery, the people of the community were to ask questions and suggestions.
In conclusion, all the questions and suggestions by the people centered around their disagreement of not allowing any mining company to mine on their land since major parts of the land where the survey is being covered have their farms especially cashew plantations.
After lengthy deliberation, the DCE, Adane Ankomah, and his entourage decided the meeting should be postponed to allow them time to consult their superiors for further advice
