YILO K:Efforts to reduce educ. infrastructure deficit progresses

Combined efforts by the Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly, the government of Ghana through the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) and other development partners to reduce infrastructure deficit in the education sector in the Yilo Krobo Municipality is progressing steadily.

Combined efforts by the Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly, the government of Ghana through the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) and other development partners to reduce infrastructure deficit in the education sector in the Yilo Krobo Municipality is progressing steadily.

Although a number of the projects have delayed unnecessary there is hope they would be completed this year and be available for use by the beneficiary schools.

Most of the classrooms under construction were meant to reduce overcrowding in the schools and create room for effective teaching and learning.

A progress report on these projects as at 31st December 2013 sited by Ghanadistricts.com listed the projects as follows:

For the projects that fall within the domain of the assembly, the assembly hopes to extend enough resources to ensure their completion this year while it looks forward to other implementing agencies like the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUnd) to release funds to enable contructors to complete them.
