AFIGYA K:New 6-unit classroom block for Kyekyewere Methodist primary

Mr. Kaakyire Oppong Kyekyeku, District Chief Executive of Afigya Kwabre, has commissioned a 6-unit classroom block for the Kyekyewere Methodist Primary School.

Mr. Kaakyire Oppong Kyekyeku, District Chief Executive of Afigya Kwabre, has commissioned a 6-unit classroom block for the Kyekyewere Methodist Primary School.

The project comprises toilet facilities for teachers and students, office, staff common room and library, is funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).

It replaces dilapidated classrooms which compelled school to close down any time it rained.

He called on parents to ensure the success of their wards, by giving them the best of education, while the government is making every effort on its part to ensure quality education to every child of school-going age.

He gave the assurance that government was determined to invest in the education sector through infrastructural expansion, and added that it was the duty of every parent to give their wards the needed support to make teaching and learning attractive to the child and the teachers.

Nana Kutin Safei II, Chief of Kyekyewere, commended the DCE for his efforts in raising the standard of education in the district since he assumed office four years ago.

He pleaded with the teachers to wholeheartedly sacrifice in making sure that the children have the necessary support to enable them have the best to become responsible citizens.

The Headteacher of the school, Mr. Martin Afrifa Asante, pleaded with the DCE to also construct a Kindergarten for the kids to be closer to the primary school.
