GOMOA E: Assemblyman calls for electricity extension

The Assemblyman for Gomoa Afransi Electoral Area, Mr. Dominic Ato Nyame has called for support from the Gomoa East District Assembly to extend electricity to other parts of the community in a bid to improve security in the area.

The Assemblyman for Gomoa Afransi Electoral Area, Mr. Dominic Ato Nyame has called for support from the Gomoa East District Assembly to extend electricity to other parts of the community in a bid to improve security in the area.

He said the Afransi community has grown in population size ever since the community was named the district’s capital, adding that the development could enhance criminal activities if necessary steps are not taken to get other parts of the community connected.

The assemblyman who was speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com however indicated that official complains made to the assembly has proofed futile.

In other related developments, Mr. Ato Nyame also revealed that works have completed on a 14 seater Water Closet toilet facility for the community as part of effort to improve sanitation conditions in the area.

According to him, the ultra modern facility was financed through the Assembly’s own share of the Common Fund (DACF).
