GOMOA E: Assembly keen to improve education

The District Chief Executive for  Gomoa East in the Central Region, Isaac Kingsley Ahunu has asserted that the assembly is still on course to execute more educational projects to boost education in the area.

The District Chief Executive for  Gomoa East in the Central Region, Isaac Kingsley Ahunu has asserted that the assembly is still on course to execute more educational projects to boost education in the area.

According to him, even though his outfit has done enough to improve teaching and learning, they were still eager to do more to elevate the standard of education in the area.

The DCE who was speaking at the assembly’s meeting  noted that work was completed on some of these projects whereas others were still on-going and at various stages of completion.

Mr. Ahunu further disclosed that students of the Ekwamkrom Seventh-Day Adventist School have currently benefited from a newly constructed 6-unit classroom block after several years of studying under a dilapidated make-shift structure.

He said other beneficiary include Pomade Primary, Ayensuadze Primary, Gomoa Akwamu Primary, Anopasu and Gyaman Methodist Primary Schools have all benefited from similar 6-unit classroom blocks each.

The rest are Takyiam DA and the Nkwantanan DA Primary and the Odembo DA schools which also benefited from 2 unit classroom blocks with ancillary facilities each.

He added that some of the projects were either financed through the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF), District Development Fund (DDF) and Ghana Education Trust fund (GETfund).
