Construction works on a number of market projects in the Nkwanta South District in the Volta Region is progressing steadily, Chief Executive of the District has stated.

Mr. Joseph Nyofam Ninkab, DCE noted that the assembly is bent on improving market infrastructure in all major market centres in the district to enable traders to enjoy convenient environment for doing business.

He said work on phase II of Nkwanta Market is on going and this will provide 80 stores for the traders and will help secure their wares. Another of such project is phase II of Brenyese market also providing 80 stores.

The DCE also disclosed of the construction of a new market at Bunakye. Accordingly, he said the land has been graded and leveled, and the assembly is to construct 40 stalls and a lorry park.
