Easy accessibility to health delivery especially in deprived communities in the Nkwanta South District in the Volta Region has been given a boost with the construction of two new CHPS compounds in two communities.
The two projects constructed at Abubruwa and Panku were financed by the assembly through its share of the District Development Facility (DDF) and comprised OPD, sanitary facilities, offices as well as nurses quarters.
District Chief Executive, Joseph Nyofam Ninkab said the assembly is making everything within its domain despite financial constraints to ensure that all settlements have health facilities to at least handle emergency cases before being referred to hospitals.
According to him, the CHPS compound at the Abubruwa has been completed with electricity and water provide and is in use while Panku CHPS compound is at the roofing level and would be completed soon.
