The District Chief Executive for the Nanumba South District Assembly, Alhaji Seidu Amidu has called on the new Member of Parliament (MP) elect for the Wulensi constituency, Laliri George Maban to do well to collaborate with the Assembly to forge ahead the development of the area.

He claimed the people reposed their confidence in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party because of the barrage of development projects brought to them as a result of the implementation of the “Better Ghana” agenda, hence he should make all efforts through his share of the Common Fund and other sources of funds to concentrate in improving sectors like education, health and Human resource development.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com following the NDC’s victory in capturing the Wulensi seat in the just ended general elections, the DCE intimated that the party had to restrategize and marshal new plans that would earn it a victory, having lose and beaten a number of times in previous elections.

He claimed no doubt the strides in development projects for the past four years, and the NDC’s messages of peace and unity during the campaigns gave them the opportunity to win this year’s elections. 

He appealed to the MP elect to ensure to use his status to assist push and consolidate the foundation of lasting peace and sustainable development in the area.
