The Ho West District Assembly, one of the newly created districts in the country is making every possible effort to change its current under development.

The assembly has identified and prioritized some important projects in the district for implementation in the short to medium term to make sure the assembly is firmly established with all the relevant departments and caliber of staff in place.

Chief Executive of the district, Samuel Ewoade addressing assembly meeting at the third ordinary meeting of the assembly disclosed that seven essential structures have been targeted in the executive report for immediate attention.

Among them include construction of additional office block within the precincts of the existing office premises, renovation of existing structures on the Dzolo Kpuita-Kpedze road to provide residential accommodation for junior staff and an assembly hall for the assembly, construction of new market stalls and renovation of existing dilapidated ones to provide the market a face lift. This would enable the assembly to take control of market and encourage traders to use the facility to enhance the assembly’s revenue.

The rest are rehabilitation of the Kpedze market which is in a deplorable state and fencing it, rehabilitation of guest house at Kpedze to provide accommodation for core staff of the assembly, provision of pipe water supply system for the district capital and finally, relocation of Anyirawase market.

The DCE therefore appealed to the house to approve the projects for work to commence on them.
