The Ho West District Assembly hopes to confirm Mr Sammy Ewoade, the nominee for the position of the district chief executive for District slated for October 16, 2012.

This would be the second times the assembly is converting for the confirmation as the nominee failed to obtain the required percentage.

Ho West is one of newly created districts in the Volta Region curved out of the Ho Municipal Assembly.

Though activities of the district is going on well, Atsrim M. M, Presiding member for the district noted that things would have been faster if they had the DCE, political head at post.

The PM therefore called on assembly members to put their differences behind and work together to ensure the district gets a DCE.

"This way, we would be able to quickly put things in order for accelerated development, adding there is a lot of work to be done.

The PM stated that the major constraint facing the new district is office space, but noted that the assembly is depending on its internally generated fund to renovate an existing structure for other departments.
