HO W:264 laptop computers for 11 schools

Eleven basic schools in the newly created Ho West District in the Volta Region have received 24 laptops each under government “one laptop per child policy”.

Eleven basic schools in the newly created Ho West District in the Volta Region have received 24 laptops each under government “one laptop per child policy”.

The initiative is a measure to improve accessibility and study of Information Communication Technology (ICT) especially in deprived communities across the country in order to bridge the ICT knowledge gap among pupils.

Chief Executive of the district, Sammy Ewoade, presenting the laptops to the schools reiterated government commitment towards quality and accessible education to all, adding, the initiative attests to that fact.

He thus urged the students to develop interest in their studies to build a better future for themselves and their families.

According to him, one of the cardinal focus of the assembly would be to accelerate the development of education and the assembly would make sure all stakeholders are brought on board to achieve this objective.

The Member of Parliament for the area, Emmanuel Bedzra also added his voice to the call for students to study hard and appeal to parents to play their parental roles effectively in giving future to their children.
