The Ho West District, one of seven newly created Districts in the Volta Region has confirmed the president’s nominee for the position of district Chief Executive.

Mr Sammy Ewoade received a unanimous endorsement from assembly members to be confirmed the DCE at election held on October 16, 2012 at the assembly. This was his second attempt after he failed to obtain the required votes in the first attempt.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Ewoade expressed gratitude to the assembly for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to run an open door policy to accelerate development of the new district.

He thus called for the support of all stakeholders in the district to ensure target objectives are achieved.
