KINTAMPO N: NPP, NDC youth wings organize clean-up exercise
The youth wings of the largest political parties in Ghana, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kintampo North Municipality have organized a massive cleanup exercise to help improve sanitation in the area.

The clean-up exercise was to help clean and distil gutters at the Kintampo lorry station and its surrounding environs.
Others agencies and groups such as the Kintampo North Municipal Assembly, Security Services, Youth groups, Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), Progressive Transport Owners' Association, Kintampo Garages Association (PROTOA) and Kintampo trucks association were well represented.
Speaking in an interview with media, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area, Isaac Baffoe Ameyaw expressed his gratitude to the groups for coming together to clean the Municipality, adding that the Assembly is putting plans in place to help organized such exercises at every first Saturday of the month.
He called on all especially, shop and property owners to keep their surroundings clean and neat with a better way of disposing off rubbish.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Mr. Joseph Kwame Kumah, in his address asked all inhabitance of Kintampo to grow green grass in their houses and surroundings, burn plastic waste than living them around.
He concluded by saying that “this clean-up exercise would also be extended to the other communities within the Municipality”.
