The Minister used the opportunity to visit some Heads of Department at the Municipal Assembly.

In his interaction with staff of the Assembly, the Minister urged them to work hard, remain non-partisan and support the President’s flagship programmes to ensure development in the area.

Touching on the government’s U-start initiative, the Minister noted that the programme is aimed at empowering the youth to start their own business to also employ others.

His first port of call was to some sub chiefs of Kintampo to officially introduce himself to them and seek their support on some developmental projects that the government interns to carry out in the Municipality.

He also pledged his support for the chiefs and asked them rally behind the government.

“The Bono East Region has a lot of potential especially in Agriculture such as Yam and Rice production” he said.

Mr. Kwesi Edu-Gyan assured that the college of Health and well-being would soon be converted into a University, adding that documentation processes are almost finalized.

On their part, the chiefs expressed their appreciation to the Minister and also appealed to the regional minister to intensify security in the Municipality.
