Second Kintampo Youth Parliament Inaugurated

The Kintampo Municipal Assembly has inaugurated the second Youth Parliament in the Municipality under the Theme “The Impact of Youth Activism on Local Community Development”.

The short and colorful programme which was spearheaded by the Office of the National Youth Authority Kintampo and snoozed by individual stakeholders in the municipality saw marvelous attendance held at the Municipal Assembly Hall.

In an address by the Municipal director for National Youth Authority, he says the main aim of organizing this programme is to give the youth of Kintampo Municipality the leadership spirit, develop their Youth intellectuality, and settle issues of youth in the Municipality, to unite all the youth groups.

Dignities invited spoke of the youth using the opportunity given them to train themselves for the future by making good use of their youthful age.
Again be law abiding, using this as an opportunity to study hard and an asset of future leaders. The youth were advised to participate in nation building, democracy developers and contributors to respective elections and stability.

Mr. Fridaus Mubarak Yussif, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fri-Frans Group a native of the Municipality, was happy to be part of this occasion.

He stated that our youth would one day be our future leaders and a beckon of hope that must be empowered by democracy of our generation. By doing so it comes with the responsibility and humility of our youth.

He challenged them to take responsibility for empowering themselves to fit into society. He then presented Kintampo Youth parliament a laptop to help carry out their administrative duties.
Mr. James Kwabena Bomfeh also a native of Kintampo was one of the invited persons. He was grateful to be part of this important inauguration as a native of Kintampo.

‘’Our life’s as youth in parliament should reflect as such, by being respectful of laws, and not forget the rules, our history and let life be up to standard.’’ He noted.

He urged all participants to see this opportunity as preparation as a stepping stone to the parliament of Ghana to make laws in the country. He added that all youth who are part of this youth parliament should have the ability to love, and be hard working.

He concluded that, “to be a parliamentarian in Kintampo you should; stay away from land issues, study hard, have discussions about the development of Agriculture, and have the best quality representation in parliament” he ended.
