MCE donates to Muslims in the Lawra Municipality

The Municipal Chief Executive for Lawra Mr. Martin Domotiere Bomba-ire has donated 30 bags of sugar to the five (5) Muslim communities in the municipality to support them in this year's Ramadan.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com, the MCE commended the Muslim communities for their support in this trying times of COVID 19 by following the protocols outlined by the president and the health professionals including closing the mosques.

He again urged them to continue to pray more especially use the infinite bounties of this month to pray for the country, leaders, especially the president for the wisdom, courage, and strength to take us out of this pandemic as soon as possible and all stakeholders involve in this fight against the pandemic.



He also solicited special prayers for himself and all workers of the Municipal Assembly and the municipality as a whole. Adding that, 58 samples of suspected COVID 19 cases in the municipality have been tested negative and this shows our prayers are indeed accepted.

He asked them to unabatedly pray against the disease and for the peaceful coexistence, tolerance and unity among the three religions in the municipality, Muslims, Christians, and Traditionalists.



The MCE who was in the company of his Director, Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Majeed, the deputy director, Mr. Hamza Wumbei, the Municipal Planning Officer, Mr. Hafiz Nasagla, the Nasara Coordinator Mr. Mumin Mahamud and other official presented the bags of sugar to the Lawra Central Mosque, Lawra ASWAJ Mosque Kunyukuo Muslim community, Babile community, and Bagri Community all within the municipality.
