Lawra Municipality roads get a facelift
After more than a decade of dusty roads leading to several complaints and threats of demonstrations against various governments, roads in the Lawra Municipality in the Upper West Region are undergoing a massive facelift.

Currently, contractors are working at various locations covering a distance of more than 80 kilometres
Some of the roads receiving various types of improvement are Goil - Sobaal road (Lowcost road to Goil) in the Lawra Municipality among others.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Lawra, Mr Martin Bomba-ire, In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, said the massive road works currently ongoing in the municipality was in fulfilment of a promise made by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during the campaign.
He explained that the fulfilment of the promise was a dream come true to the people who have yearned for such development of roads in the Municipality.
The Bomba-ire appealed to all who would be affected by the construction works to exercise restraint as the contractors continued to embark on the road construction works.
Again, the MCE stated that upon completion, the road construction would help beautify the Municipality they were located in, boost local economies since the people would be able to move around with ease to transact business.
