Ejisu confirms MCE nominee, Samuel Oduro Frimpong

The king makers, Assembly Members of the Ejisu Municipal Assembly who are the makers of MCE’s have overwhelmingly voted for the President’s nominee Mr. Samuel Oduro Frimpong as the Chief Executive Officer for the Municipality in a brief but colourful ceremony today the 29th Sept 2021 at the forestry commission’s conference hall in Ejisu.

All the forty Assemblymembers endorsed to confirm the nominee but two ballots were rejected thus securing him with 95% of the total valid votes casts.

Mr. Samuel Oduro Frimpong, the Municipal Chief Executive elect, in his acceptance speech thankful most especially God Almighty and the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo for given him the opportunity to serve in his government.

He assured people of the municipality of his readiness to work with everyone to achieve the goal of the president.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah commended the entire Assembly for the Unity they have exhibited and the love shown to the MCE He urged all the assembly Members to rally behind the MCE to transform the municipality.



The Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister for Finance Hon. Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah on his part also touched on upcoming projects such as hundred million dollar ($100,000,000.00) facility for development in the Municipality, the Boankra In-land port project and an asphalt plant to be established in the municipality.

The programme was chaired by the honourable presiding member for Ejisu Kofi Ampofo Agyapong and the colorful event was graced by many dignitaries; notable amongst them is the Ashanti Regional minister Simon Osei Mensah; the deputy minister for finance and Member of Parliament for Ejisu constituency Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah; the queen mother of Ejisu traditional Council, Nana Yaa Asantewaa ll; Nana Okyere Awurukuo chief of Asenie; Nana Susu biribi Boakye Danquah l chief of Aduapokye, and some other members including all constituency executives.
