This was contained in the MCE’s message to the people of Ejisu zongo on 26/8/25 during her community engagement with the chiefs, Imams and people of the community; as in response to the request of the Zongo Chief, Sarakyi Mustapha Mohammed that the zongo community and its people especially the youth should be remembered in terms of job creation and development.

The MCE, Mrs. Jerryne Asante stated that she noted that during the election campaign in 2024, lack of development and jobs for the youth in the zongo community, therefore her vision to engage youth and develop the community aligns with the vision of the President of the Republic, HE JD Mahama to equip as many as possible with employable skills and recruit many that are qualified into the security agencies. As such, some of the well qualified youths have already been appointed to head Youth Employment Agency (YEA), and NADMO.

Mrs. Jerryne Asante pledged as a matter of urgency provided 20 street bulbs for them and a mechanized borehole by December 2025; while their other demands such as taring of inner roads, good drainage system to allow free flow of water especially during heavy down pours, prevention of encouragement onto streets by house owners, provide them with sanitary bins for refuse collection and a bridge to link up Yawmoa Ponko to Krapa community among others would be rolled out within the four year turn.
