DCE donates trophy and other sporting equipment to Vakpo SHS

The District Chief Executive of North Dayi, Edmund Kudjoh Attah presented some items to the Acting Headmistress of the school during their inter houses competition.

In his speech, the DCE entreated the administrators of the school to ensure that the items are used for the intended purposes to promote the development of football and athletics in the District and assured them of the Government’s commitment to the development of sports in general.

“I have taken a personal decision to support the development of sports because the various disciplines and talents are very lucrative which will positively affect the lives of the individuals. I want to help young ones to bring out their talents”. He stressed.

He also intimated the commitment of the Government transformation of the economy of which sports cannot be left out.

The acting Headmistress and teachers of the school commended the DCE for the kind gesture indicating that he has been regular with his support to the facility and wished him well in the task ahead of him.

In her view, other public office holders from the District must emulate the shining example of the DCE. Due to his hard work, he has been able to secure a 500 capacity boy’s dormitory which was constructed recently with funding from Getfund among other projects to the school.
