The computers are used to encourage pupils and students in the schools to learn Information Communication Technology and develop an interest in the course.

Mr. Edmund Nyarko, Zonal Manager for Volta and Oti Regions, GIFEC, who was present to witness the short ceremony said the schools had met the requirements for the support; a furnished computer laboratory.

He said printers and internet connectivity would be provided as a second phase of the donation.

The Hon. DCE, Mr. Edmund Kudjoh Attah in addressing the teachers and pupils charged the schools to put the computers to proper use and adopt the culture of maintenance.

He intimated that the NPP government is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts towards high technology, hence, the need to take up ICT education seriously.

He promised to continue with the collaboration between the North Dayi District Assembly and GIFEC through the Ministry of Communication so that all schools in North Dayi will benefit from this laudable initiative. He again advised the pupils to take their lessons seriously.
