DCE supports JHS and SHS sports in North Dayi district

The District Chief Executive for North Dayi Hon Kudjoh Attah , has taken personal decision to support both JHS and SHS sports for this year's sport's festivals.

At the Under 15 level, representing JHS, he sponsored the camping of all sporting boys and girls. He also donated 40 pieces of running vests, sanitary pads, toiletries and assorted items to the under 15 team representing the District at the inter District sports and Athletics competition in Anloga. He was with the team everyday till the team departed to Anloga.

In a related development, the DCE, Kudjoh Attah, graced the opening ceremonies on, 21st and 22nd june, 2023 at Anfoega Senior high and Vakpo Senior High schools inter-houses sports respectively. He also visited the two senior high schools daily until the close of the competition.

The DCE , speaking at the closing ceremony disclosed that he will support the three senior high schools with customized jerseys and footballs for their inter-schools competition at Kpando next week.

Dorwolakoe, as he is affectionately called, said the project is among other things intended to serve as grounds to unearth football talents, which abounds in the constituency.

“The footballs, jerseys will boost the confidence of the players as they face other competing schools and it's my expectation that a player will one day join batch of national talents to represent the country,” he said.

He added that his determination and passion to develop sports infrastructures in his constituency is also to reduce social vices and build co-existence among the constituents.

The Headteacher for both schools, that is Anfoesec and Vasec in their speeches commended Kudjoh Attah for his selfless commitment in creating opportunities and developing North Dayi.

They also appealed to other corporate organizations to support them with ASTRO Turf in the constituency to promote sports development.
