The Nyinahin D/A school park was filled to overflowing, testing the the venues capacity. Several thousands watched attentively with their faces beaming at the center of attraction as the district marked Ghana’s 66th Independence Day celebration with style.

On the pitch sat exuberant traditional authorities draped in colorful kente apparels led by Nana Amanpene Boateng Twum II, the overlord of Nyinahin traditional council, parents, businessmen, Assembly members, politicians and all manner people from other communities to grace the occasion.


The DCE and his service commanders reviewed the elegantly dressed parade made up of 1020 contingents from 34 schools.
Giving the Presidential address, Hon. Kofi Marfo extolled the NPP Government for giving Atwima Mponua its fair share of the national cake.



On electricity, he mentioned that, Hon. Isaac Asiamah the Member of Parliament lobbied for the completion of about 95% of the 537 communities on the national grid, the tarring of Roads from Mpasatia to Bedabour, Kwanfifi to Akonkye, Nyinahin town Roads, Tanodumasi to Pasoro and the near completion of the Foriwaa Nkwanta to Bayerebon No.3. In addition, he thanked the industrious law maker for getting Mponuaman a befitting Nursing training Institute which will start admitting students from April 2023 with its attendant Agenda 111 Hospital also under construction. These achievements received cheers from the crowed amid clappings from the filled venue.


MARCHING PAST AND AWARD WINNERS.
The crème de la crème of the 66th independence celebration was the marching past of the students made up of pupils from Kindergarten (5), Primary 14, JHS (11) and the SHS (4). In attendance was the Nyinahin SDA Band under the commandment of Junior under Officer Ernest Eshun of the Nyinahin Catholic SHS Army Cadet.


The skills and flamboyance of the marching kids was the Centre of attraction as these neatly dressed kids showed what they were made of.


Nyinahin Mt. Zion KG was first at the Kindergarten category, at the primary level, Nyinahin D/A picked the laurel, whilst Nyinahin Presby chalked first at the Junior High School Level.




The District Assembly awarded Joseph Boakye and Tracy Amoah of Agogoso D/A and Betinko D/A Basic Schools for being the overall best BECE student and best female BECE candidate in 2022 respectively. They received cash prizes and other educational items.


At the SHS category, Adu Dennis and Owusu Ansah Maxwell, all of Mpasatia SHS picked the prizes as the best students for 2022.
