Achiase Wansanbire D/A Basic School had long struggled with inadequate water access, relying on a distant borehole. The long treks for water disrupted classes, affecting the education of countless pupils. However, a new chapter began thanks to divine intervention on February 3, 2024.

Dr. Kelli DuCloux, inspired by what she described as a "divine download," embarked on a mission to construct mechanized boreholes for African schools. Her nonprofit organization, S.O.T.A International Ltd, spearheaded the project with Executive Director Anita Callaway.

Recognizing the critical need in Achiase, Dr. Kelli partnered with Dawn Sutherland of BTAC - Bridge to Africa Connection. Together, they secured approval for the project on April 13, 2024.

Construction kicked off on May 29, 2024, culminating in a joyous commissioning ceremony on June 19, 2024. The event saw an enthusiastic turnout, including Chief Nana Odankari Ofosu Akomah I, community elders, school children, opinion leaders, media and the New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate, Mr. Seth Osei Akoto, and the District Educational Officers and the Director.

The borehole promises to transform daily life in Achiase-Wansanbire, significantly improving sanitation and freeing children from the burden of fetching water over long distances. Though built for the school, the borehole will benefit the entire community and other adjoining cottages.

Chief Ofosu, the elders, and the broader community have expressed their heartfelt gratitude for this life-changing gift. The sentiment echoed through the gathering with the Ghanaian expression "AYEKOO" directed at Dr. Kelli and her dedicated team.
This development marks a significant stride toward better education and improved living conditions for Achiase Wansanbire. It stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and the impact of humanitarian efforts.
