Among the affected were Mr. Elvis Amoro and his brother Peter Amoro, who expressed deep gratitude to the DCE for his empathy and swift response. Hon. Issahak assured the victims that NADMO and the District Assembly would assess the situation and provide additional relief.

To ease their immediate needs, Hon. Issahak donated essential food items including rice, mackerels, tomato paste, diapers, and detergents, describing it as a “stop-gap” ahead of broader district support. He encouraged residents to stay strong, pray for life, and be grateful for the safety of all those affected.

In another act of decisive leadership, Hon. Issahak visited Nkroma Nkwanta, where 8 young men were victims of gunshot wounds inflicted by an illegal miner. The DCE personally paid their medical bills and condemned the act as “brutish and irresponsible bravado.”

He has instructed the Police Command to launch a full-scale investigation and ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice. Hon. Issahak also urged the youth to uphold the law and promptly report any threats to peace and security in the district.

Both the fire victims and the injured young men expressed heartfelt appreciation for the DCE’s support, which comes as a beacon of hope during challenging times.
