Working visit to Atwima Mponua District Assembly

Today 06-08-2025, the Atwima Mponua District Assembly had the honour of receiving the Regional Director of the Information Services Department (ISD), Nana Akrasi Sarpong, and Mr. Francis A. Gansah on a special working visit.

The high-powered delegation met with the District Chief Executive, Hon. Issahak Ibrahim, and the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Samuel Gyan, to discuss key strategies for advancing government communication at the grassroots.

This visit forms part of a nationwide initiative to reposition the Information Services Department as a modern, responsive, and digitally equipped institution, capable of meeting the communication demands of the 21st century.

The Regional Director highlighted that Government has invested in state-of-the-art information vans, fully equipped with advanced tools to effectively disseminate policies and programmes across communities. These mobile units are complemented by newly acquired laptops and desktop computers to empower ISD offices across the country.

Mr. Gyan, in his welcome address, commended the ISD team in Atwima Mponua for their dedication and promised to play a vital role in further resourcing the department.

Mr. Issahak Ibrahim also expressed his appreciation to the visiting team and reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to strengthening government communication.

He encouraged ISD officers to leverage social media creatively and professionally to engage the public and whet the appetite of citizens for verified, timely, and impactful information on development.

The visit is a clear testament to Government’s resolve to make information dissemination more vibrant, visible, and valuable at the local level.
