AMANSIE W:Chairman of Local Government Service Council visits district

The purpose was to monitor the day to day activities of the Local Government staff and to interact with them.
Addressing over 200 staff, the District Chief Executive for Amansie West Mr. Alex Kwame Bonsu said the visit of local Government Service Chairman to the district would enable the staff come out with some of the problems facing the staff and the Assembly.
He regretted that lack of staff and the replacement of staff who went on retirement is continue to affect operations of the assembly.
The District Coordinating Director, Alhaji J.M. Hardi said the Assembly need new vehicle to carry out day to day monitoring of the Assembly's activities.
He said all the Assembly vehicles are too old and the routine serving is costing the Assembly, and appealed to the local government to come to their aid.
The District Director of Education Mrs. Dora Atigbire on her part said her outfit is facing a lot of problems. She said lack of vehicle for monitoring and supervision in schools and appealed the authorities to help addressed it.
Madam Atingbire was not happy that none of the three SHS in the district benefited from the recent Government allocation of schools buses and called on the authorities to consider the district in their next allocations of school buses.
Also present was Nana Soglo Alor IV, Member of the council.
